The Egyptian (sh. Egipćanin) je američki historijski film snimljen 1954. u režiji Michaela Curtiza. Predstavlja adaptaciju popularnog romana Sinuhe Egipćanin finskog književnika Mike Waltarija. Naslovni protagonist, čiji lik tumači Edmund Purdom je staroegipatski ljekar koji u 14. vijeku pne. postaje miljenik faraona Ehnatona (čiji lik tumači Michael Wilding). Radnja prikazuje kako Sinuheova odanost prema faraonu dolazi na kušnju zbog njegove namjere da tradicionalnu religiju zamijeni kultom boga Atona, kao i to da vjernost supruzi (čiji lik tumači Jean Simmons) ugrožava babilonska kurtizana (čiji lik tumači Bella Darvi).

The Egyptian je imao komercijalni uspjeh, ali je dobio loše kritike. Pri tome se najviše isticao loš nastup Belle Darvi, koja je uzela ulogu prvotno namijenjenu Marylin Monroe, a što se prije svega tumači njenom ljubavnom vezom sa Darylom F. Zanuckom, šefom studija 20th Century Fox.
