Simakan District (Persian: بخش سیمکان) is in Jahrom County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Duzeh.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Duzeh was elevated to the status of a city.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 16,973 in 3,781 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 16,655 people in 4,413 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 17,560 inhabitants in 5,183 households.[2]
