Khvormiz Rural District (Persian: دهستان خورميز)[3] is in the Central District of the Mehriz County in the Yazd province of Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Mirokabad.[5]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 7,784 situated in 2,102 households.[6] There were 7,507 inhabitants in 2,180 households in the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 8,215 in 2,483 households. The most populous of its 123 villages was Khvormiz-e Olya, with 2,198 people.[2]
